
Total Rugby Concepts U18 Academy will run from November through to January and includes 3 x three-day clinics. Players will be given programs to complete over the Xmas/New Year period and a follow on program at the conclusion of the January clinic. A number of technological components will also be incorporated throughout the program, these include video tutorials, online surveys and blogs and direct on field feedback.
The focus of the U18 Academy will be on core skill and physical development. This will be achieved by position specific training programs, that focus on the development of core skills and physical attributes.
Individual camps are also available for those players who either unable to complete or attend the academy. Please see registration form to select individual camps or whole Academy.
U18 Academy & Camps Overview
Sessions will run from 7am to 11pm on the following dates:

U18 Camp 1
Tuesday 17th, Wednesday 18th & Thursday 19th of December 2013 - 7am to 11am
Camp focus
Development of strength, speed and flexibility programs for each athlete, as well as supplying participants with positions specific core skills and drills. Participants will also be provided with information and experiences in goal setting, recovery techniques, nutritional requirements of young athletes and the implementation and benefits of correct weight training techniques.

Camp focus
Progress individual physical training programs into agility, power and anaerobic components. Also a key focus area will be the development of contact skills including, tackle, breakdown & ball carry.

Academy participants will participate in all 3 camps, initial and final testing sessions, receive access to online blogs and activities and receive visual and written feedback.
