What can you expect from a Total Rugby Concepts training experience

What is different about TRC courses?

TRC is not a child minding service. Only players who are serious about improving their rugby should apply. We ideally only accept two players from each playing position per course. Camps are designed so that only two age groups train together and content is appropriate for the developmental level of the group.

Why does this TRC Rugby Camp finish with a game?

There is nothing worse than attending a camp and not getting anything out of the experience at the end. The game allows players to test their skills and receive immediate feedback. Players learn from feedback that is immediate and appropriate to their level of development. All games will be recorded and players will receive a written summary of their performance highlighting their strengths and identifying ‘Work Ons’ needed to improve their game.

Will players just be training and working on skills?

No. TRC Rugby Development courses are designed to encourage players to be critical of their own performance, assist with tactical awareness and encourage on-field problem solving. Skills are a vital part of rugby, and players will be given coaching cues highlighting the fundamentals of skill development so that they can focus on improving skills in their individual, club and school training sessions.

Can players receive further tuition and feedback throughout the year?

Yes. Total Rugby Concepts offers individualized 1 on 1 or small group sessions on the Sunshine Coast. TRC can tailor sessions to meet specific player goals whilst also offering strength, speed and agility, rugby specific conditioning and functional power programs and tuition for optimal on-field performance. Total Rugby Concepts also offers individual game analysis at request, where we film your match and provide critical feedback on your performance.
